The stunning heights of the Carpathian Mountains are a huge part of our families lives. The mountain slopes provide in May and June the tiny fir and pine buds from which our syrup is made. Hand picked, these are slow cooked to extract their rich flavour and just enough sugar added to make a syrup. We add a secret blend of wild herbs and then allow the syrup to mature before bottling.
Our father Ion, to whom we owe this wonderful recipe, walked the mountains all his life and today his son Codrut continues to ascend this wonderful slopes as a mountain runner. The surrounding meadows are full of wild-flowers from where the bees gather pollen for honey. Sweet treats from nature from age old artisan methods.
