Scottish Christmas and Hogmanay New Year treats. Traditional porridge oats in a simple biscuit base of flour, an egg, pinch of salt with grated orange rind, orange juice and a few blueberries. As soon as they come out of the oven, drizzle a little pine syrup over each one to add a tangy gloss. Cool, wrap in ribbon and place in gift boxes. ♦
