Crunchy munchy mixed nuts in Pine syrup.


Take mixed nuts, any nuts and slightly toast in a hot pan.  Add a little pine syrup, a little balsamic vinegar, sprinkle of salt and little black pepper.  Mix the nuts thoroughly in this tangy, spicy, sweet, and salty coating and spread out on a tray and place in the fridge to get cold.  In about half an hour break the mixture into a bowl and serve.  They should be bite size, knobbly and served with wine before a meal, with other nibbles or used sprinkled on top of soft cheeses, and roulades. ♦
